New short video with Mikhail Bashakov using Tombo Pocket Bass harmonica (the lowest I own and it was first day I played it) and Seydel Big Six harmonica in the key of HighC (the highest one I own). You can see bass fall from my knees and it made me a bit confused, so some dirt in my playing ((:
Lyrics in Russian are about some politic nuances...
P.S. Unfortunately Seydel do not offer bass harps yet.

Love the bass harp. Sounds like a sax. Visually, it looks like shifting from a Greyhound Bus to a mini! Great fun!

A song in Russian about political nuances, hmmm.......perhaps you could do a collaboration with Pussy Riot. Although I'd be careful where you perform.

Love the sound of the bass, but the change over to the high C was killer!
It really rocks. I'm going to have to get one of those.

Very cool stuff Boris! I've been curious about the Tombo "Pocket" Bass... But clearly one must have some BIG pockets for that thing! It's MUCH bigger than I imagined! But really awesome tone... Considering that one can find it listed for about the same price as a Hohner Thunderbird, would you reccomend to buy the Tombo instead (of, say, a LL-E Thunderbird)?
PS: Loved the wailing tone of that High C too!

where do you find the pocket bass almost as low as the thunderbird?
at harmonica company tombo 159.99 euro thunderbird 89.99
the hohner webpage doesn't list a LL-E

Clyde: in the US, the thunderbird retails for about $135 (plus shipping). I found the Tombo Pocket Bass for as low as $147 and free shipping on e-bay...
