Hi, I'm working up a version of Ah'W Baby! and below is the harp intro and first verse, over JimiLee's 'Box pattern in G' which i slowed down a tad...probably not the ideal BT for it, but it works for my purpose
and i wanted to test this box app for sharing...and ive just been copping the LW intro to this song for a while...i think its a bit like he played...nowhere near as fluent and i expect ive missed a few nuances but its the idea of what he is doing im really after... the solo is next... anyway, i recommend this intro as one to study for great use of especially holes 1 - 3, and its got some neat timing things and pickups...not too intimidating, just a great atmospheric 12 bar intro...

Hi SuperBee. You've done a decent job so far, keep it up. I don't want to interfere with your learning process but you might find the following video useful. I posted it sometime ago to demonstrate how to play Little Walter's original. It might help you to breakdown the tune. Good luck.

So I finally get to hear you play and sing? Bee.
I play this tune every gig. I like it slow and sexy for the fullness and subtle nuances of Walters harp intro can be fully appreciated. This songs intro is one of the finest I've ever heard. The solo absolutely impeccable. Great tune, Bee! ---------- Affordable Reed Replacement Marks Harmonica Tune-up

Thank you mr 1847, yes indeed, the polish. I haven't played it enough yet, still spending too much attention on remembering. Hi Adam, thanks for the video. What's that version though? I didn't realise there was another one. Mark, I think I haven't revealed my singing voice here before...but now I've got this 'box' app and we finally got a generator so I don't have to pedal anymore; I can spare some breath. Thanks all for taking the time. Much appreciated!

Hi SuperBee, my video is following what I believe to be the more commonly available take recorded by Little Walter. There is an alternate take from the 'Blues with a Feeling' album which must be what you've been listening to. Apologies I didn't realise.

No apology required Adam. I expect you're right. I'm grateful to know there's another recording. I really love this song and keen to explore it. Thanks again

Dunno Frank, seems to work ok from here. I'm not logged in or anything. You're not missing too much... The notes are there, approximately, and in pretty much the right order. The harp part is lacking in feeling , rather mechanical. It's very early days. I kinda like the vocal, I think it's coming along

Sounds good and solid to me as well as musical and fluid, but I bet you won't be happy until it has all the nuances you want in - standards are high here. I like your singing voice too. I wouldn't describe it as mechanical, but it's all about your own standards and expectations and I suppose you compare yourself with the next echelon up. Yet another great song too.
The Box player worked fine on all my browsers, and different PCs. I wonder why Frank has a problem, as he uses it too, I nicked the idea from him. Maybe as he is logged in to Box? When I do that it you have to move something about with the mouse, but it still works. There is always the option to download.
