I hope not harmonicanick. Myself, I think I'm back to being my calm, reasonable self. I hope I didn't ruffle too many feathers, and I think I think the other rufflers have gone. I'm still doing a personal inventory, as it were, to see why I let him get under my skin like that. I'm still not sure how my first email went out like that. Sometimes I'll rant a bit and then delete it, but I don't remember hitting the button on that. I'd moved the email tab off to the side to reconsider. I think a good rant from time to time can be therapeutic. But it got provoked to words, and however it happened, it got sent, and responded too, and I shared it. And then I removed it, because it didn't serve any purpose.

I know a lot of us play harmonica and come here to get away from the drama, and I apologize to all of you here for bringing it.

That said, in principle, if I'd played grown up and had a calmer response, when someone sends you an email where they 'get up all in your grill' or whatever, I think you have to decide whether you share it based on whether sharing it does anything productive, and on some occasions it does, since some people are very good at picking people to vent on specifically because they know that there aren't repercussions to their reputation as long as they do it in private. But it was silly of me to get so bent out of shape. I've just been on edge the last few months, but 350 days or so a year this place is one of the places that improves my mood. I'm happy with an exchange rate of 350 to 15. I'll just make my best effort to make sure I'm not part of anyone else's 15.

Cheers,
Nate

I guess it will end someday. Eventually everyone will become so offended only the sock puppets will be left, nattering wittily among themselves

This quote from A Few Good Men seems strangely appropriate: Col Jessep,"Son, we live in a world that has walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with guns. Whose gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinburg?"

Even the guardians of freedom get to rant once in a while!
Thanks for everything you contribute,"Nacoran"!

Nacoran,I'm glad a you've regained your equilibrium; I greatly appreciate the hard and unpaid work to provide a forum where harmonica players can talk shop and share things harmonica with each other. There are simply too many sociopaths with internet connections to do combat with;their willingness to get mean and vulgar without provocation is a sign of mental instability and that, I believe, we are better off ignoring. Why should those who without joy spoil our pleasure with the music we make, listen to and talk about? Again, your efforts here are greatly appreciated.
