Thanks for the 2nd video. This stuff is great.

On as side note -- Do you guys have thoughts of doing a comb with a different material like aluminum or brass or maybe even Paper Stoneā„¢? Or is corian the only material that can be used?

This is absolutely BRILLIANT, Brendan! Really mind boggling! It is gentlemen like you and your estimable constituents who advance our instruments capabilities and give it the respect it has long deserved. With your tireless efforts, maybe one day it will no longer be seen as some kind of kiddie toy campfire kazoo for the musically hopeless.
Kudos!

Thanks MP. A lot of the credit must go to Zombor. I devised the reedplate layout and reed arrangement, but he did the actual design and machining for both the reedplates and the comb. His work is really fantastic.

@ Mullet: Corian mills really well, which is why Zombor chose it, but it is a quite brittle. We do have plans to try other materials, including brass. Zombor tried Paperstone recently but was not so sure; however we will try similar products also.

I feel a bit awkward about having two similar threads going on MBH about the MB30. Since Video 2 is now on the other thread also, probably tomorrow I'll close this one. See you on the other thread if you want to continue the conversation! Cheers, BP
