I'm trying to amp my harmonica ukulele at the same time. I have a Y adapter that I plugged into the amp and tried running both the lines through it, but only one seems to work at a time. Is there a way to do this, or do I have to get a whole new amp that has dual line input? I really don't need separate controls for each line in.

There's no reason you shouldn't hear both instruments if connected to your amp with a Y-Cable. If you didn't then I'm guessing the Y-cable is faulty. You can also use an A/B/Y box which would let you use a foot switch to easily switch between them if you're not playing both at once.
However the chances that the volume will be right for both instruments, or that you'll want the amp set up for both exactly the same way, is very low. ---------- *************************************************** /Greg

I use a Behringer MX400 micromixer, perhaps this will work for you. See: http://www.musiciansfriend.com/pro-audio/behringer-micromix-mx400-4-channel-line-mixer

A little mixer would give you some flexibility. You can get them pretty cheap and it lets you set the volume for each instrument independently. At least that's the theory. :)
That's actually on my wishlist right now. Another option, once you got both inputs working, would be a gain pedal if one of them is too quiet, but the mixer is probably simpler.
