Man, I would so much rather hear Sugar Blue play than Popper. Maybe if he played the same stuff on low harps it would sound better to me.

Wow! What a difference! Sugar Blue plays his stuff with style and some serious tone. In comparison with John Popper, Popper comes across as impotent.
The thing I really dug about the recording with Sufar Blue was the addition of Son Seals. That dude was completely bad ass. He died way too young. He could play. He had an incredible sense of dynamics. He really knew how to work an audience. ---------- The Blues Photo Gallery
