I am going to get an ART Tube Pre Amp so I can get a bit more break up and grit into my amplified tone, I have been working on my mic technique and on getting a tight cup and that has made a difference but I played through a mates set up with one of these little Pre Amps and the sound I made was much improved.
I was about to order the Tube MP model when I spotted the Studio V3 model which has pre sets and I wondered if anyone has used one of these and if so what they thought of it.
Let's hear your thoughts lads.
Cheers Geordie.

Hi, I use sometime ART V3 Studio for clean sound.
It gives you warmer, round clean tone and you have volume control on the stage as well.
Presets are pretty interesting too.

Someone told me that Kim Wilson uses this with tube amp, but I don't know what for?
Probably ART preamp can change "hot factor" of the microphone (more agressive output).

Bart's right. I have the Tube MP Studio. That gain knob really has its advantages to make the mic hotter or cooler, and the output knob can help you regulate your feedback at the same time.
