I wonder if this is a set of 12 keys or just keys for the tunes in the Stones set plus spares.
It would be a bit risky not to carry extras wouldn't it?

Lee Oskars are a damn fine, dependable, durable harp. Smart choice. ---------- Ted Burke http://www.youtube.com/user/TheoBurke?feature=mhee

no argument here.....I only own 4....one or 2 are about 25 years old...liked the idea of reed replacement but have never had to do it with LO....the tone of hohner is superior IMHO....sp20s are about the same cost as LO....they are not quite as durable but sound better

I have a whole set of Lee Oskars. LO's play great out the box, but its near impossible to get them to overblow.
Something to do with long reed slots. I've got OB's with them, but if you try to hold the note, it starts squealing. I'm sure someone can explain it better than I have.

For consistency of tone , ease of play and durability, nothing beats Lee Oskars. They are a perfect harp if you happen to play a variety of styles, like blues, country, jazzy material, folk. I have a whole set that I bought over 25 years ago and most of them are playable; I could take one of those harps to a paying gig tonight and have no worries. Also, they are priced inexpensively. This is a quality instrument. ---------- Ted Burke http://www.youtube.com/user/TheoBurke?feature=mhee

Love my LO's. Come in lots of wonderful flavours - Natural Minor, Harmonic Minor, Melody Maker & Plain! Great playing, tough long lasting durable harp. Bit bright for some play but as Ted says a quality instrument at the right price. I don't think Mick Jagger would be too concerned at the price but he surely needs & uses a good harp that can take rough treatment. ---------- HARPOLDIEāS YOUTUBE

Yeah Norton loved Haung - not sure if he used the model 'star performer' which those in the photo are I think...
MadCat loves Haungs too...
I have a "D" from decades past that is a keeper...Back in the day I bought the "silvertones" and "harpmasters" by the dozen, may have been "BacPacs" I forget...
Jinx you sure you didn't get Tooka to tweak that photo :)

Wow....I just took a second look at those Star Performers....I can make out three G's, and five A's, the rest are too distorted by the light angle. Frank, where'd you find that shot? Because it would appear that box set does belong to someone considering it says 12-key set in the lid. ----------

ah, so...very good. i only ever had one LO. they were more expensive than Marine Bands et al here...this was pre-internet-shopping times. i bought one. wrecked it in fairly quick time. didn't bother with another. they were very popular here though. jim conway played them for a long time...i think neil graham may have started out customising them for Jim, but i may be making that up... ----------
