per the Kenny Loggins discussion earlier on the board - here is my favorite recorded diatonic solo ever, Howard, of course, starting at about 1:00 in. This is from great album by an under appreciated mandolin player, Paul Glasse, called One More Night - buy it here: http://paulglasse.com/?page_id=117
The video just is something I put together from photos taken in and from our yard the last couple years.
I'll try to imbed the video:

That cat looked awfully content rosco...he/she must love seeing all that beautiful wildlife :) And you may be onto something about that Howard harpin being the best ever - no argument here...
If we're talking about the less-is-more category, then the following by Stevie Wonder (starting at 2:17) surely takes the prize. He plays a total of four notes--well, holes--I believe:
my vote is the acoustic harp solo on Paul Butterfields version of One More Heartache.
it's a gorgeous two progression Ab workout that is short, sweet, and incredible. absolutely no wasted motion. i belive it is on Buterfields 'The Resurection of Pig Boy Crabshaw' album. ---------- MP affordable reed replacement and repairs.

Sorry y’all, but you are all WRONG. I love Jason and I love me some blues harp in general, but Jason et al. play licks – incredible licks that I wish I could play – but the Howard solo is MUSICAL; he finds the MEAT in the chords and then samples the sauce….and then adds side dishes and the appetizers and desert. (OKAY, I know there is no right or wrong as far as musical taste goes.....except this time)
