Rockin' Ron is lightening fast & great service. He has a huge stock and user friendly web site

If you are purchasing Seydel, consider the stainless steel reed models instead of the brass Sessions. Seydel is known for their stainless steel reeds and they are the signature harp for the brand. Their brass reed models stand out more so on the lower keys such as low D and below.

I played a regular tuned 1847 stainless, and a special tuned Power tuning with hopes of longer lasting reeds. For me durability was the same as brass. So if the sessions will get me thru a cupla gigs I'd be happy.Tried Rupert but so far no reply, its only been 24hrs. and its the weekend so maybe that's the reason.

In USA - Rockin Ron
In Europe - Thomann, or direct from Seydel

Rupert delivers great services as well. For specific questions and great customer service, I suggest using a Seydel dealer. As far as reed durability, I've had great success with reed polishing and can handle repairs of any Seydel products. I typically use a stock stainless steel reed that is 1/2 step above pitch and polish it down. Best of luck to you and thanks for trying Seydel!

I purchased one of the "Power Draw" Session Steel harps from "Rockin Ron" ($79.00 delivered). It was my first Seydel harp and performs and sound very much like the Crossover I'm more familiar with. It's a very responsive harp and has outstanding tone which honestly surprised me. I for some reason thought the steel reeds would be stiffer and less responsive and flat sounding, but that's not the case at all. The "Power Draw" tuning is smart and far more easy to play than I could imagine. Mr. Powers has really got something here.

I've bought a few Blues Sessions from Ron. I loved their tone, but they didn't take well to my playing style and blew out rather quickly. I then bought some steel plates from him and converted them into Session Steels (sans orange comb). I like them a lot better now! And of course, Ron is THE man to deal with state side.
