I listened, and thought, "why am I listening to this guy's sketchbook ideas?"

Don't be discouraged Hobo. You may have some strange stuff going on at times, but you're putting yourself out there when many others are not and it sounds like you're playing what makes you happy. Keep humpin. ---------- Brad

I thought they sounded pretty cool man. A real tom waits feel. How do you record them?

thanks lowbender,
I have a boss br-600 8track,its a small digital recorder.I like using it because most times my computer is low on ram or just old and wore out,so i can record on the Br-600 and bounch it on the computer.

thanks guys,
Again I agree with Jinx in that alot of my stuff is done like a sketch pad,,I try to record when ever i get inspired,Its my only storage as i crashed many computers,
I firgure it might provide further inspiration ,for when I might not have any thing to sketch, the 1st song Chicken dinners was put together last night,I had fun trying to put it together,in a mad scientist kind of way ;-)
the song Super tweak Ive done a few times ,I think i have a couple just on reverb and it started as a sketch and ive recored it a few times
So yes in both instances itslike having a sketch pad like a artist might with drawing pencil or pen and ink.
I would like to organize more stuff better, and alot of that comes with just becoming better at what im trying to do.And that takes time and sketches so to speak,
Im allways open to critisism and have allways had it,cause I do write alot of off the wall stuff,I try to be more conventional at times but thats hard for me,And I feel like I have a couple that are, like thirsty and pink panties or ham sandwich blues in G,
I know my lyricks on those are kind of improvish, but i did try and get the Music to be whats considered standard type blues.
but again its hard for me,but i have had a couple people tell me that I do sound like Tom Waits and I have been mentioned of Capt beefheart,Im not real familar with them,But from what I understand its a compliment.
But bottom line is Im just trying to do the best I can and sometimes that might get weird now and then ;-)

Lowbender heres a link to the Boss br -600
http://www.guitarcenter.com/Boss-BR-600-Digital-Recorder-103807996-i1125995.gc
there cool and have alot of effects,My friend, that i got it from went to pro tools and a seperate computer, but sence my computer is a old worn out model ,the 8track seems to work better by handling most the work load befor I upload to the computer, But if you have a good computer you might just get a interface and a good DAW(digital audio workstation) program,
but i have a Daw but i cant hardly run it on my computer so the 8 track works better for me ---------- Hobostubs

No problem Jinx. Yea alot of people on reverb are trying to sell there music,But Im more into just having a place to store stuff,I use a couple different places,AP,soundcloud,I tried to sell a couple songs a few years ago,But there not up to the quality needed to really make a good attempt at it.
It seems hard to sell music online I would think,I havent bought any kind of music in years,Not that I bootleg ,but with you tube, and spotify, and all the other resources,We have the greatest library of freemusic avaible to the public,Its amazing,I love it.
My opion (which aint much;-) But seems to me that in order to make some money selling music you need to do live shows,Bars and concerts ,festivals and just get out there and make some $ playing live.(which i seldom do)
yea im just having fun trying to learn all I can on the journey.Peace
