A week back I entered a video - Hallelujah into The Seniors Spectacular online talent quest.The comp is well underway and only 3 videos have qualified however we are all very close in the voting. I would love to win as this 'boy from Oz' would get the US trip offered as a prize. Voting is way too close for comfort.
So if you & your partner, children (anyone...please) have not voted this is the site :

The comp is sponsored by Council of The Ageing, The Flight Centre & Qld Govt.The main sponsor who is also running the comp is Anglicare who are aged care providers.
Voting is fairly simple ie
1) visit the above web page & you will see my video listed
2) scroll down and hit either box marked a) I am Under 18 ,or b) I am over 18
3) the voting page will open and you (over 18s) will be asked confirmation details (don't tick the marketing info boxes unless you want to receive info on travel or nursing homes.
4) tick my video ( David Thomas - Hallelujah)
5) scroll down & hit the vote button.

Thank you Nate, Superbee, Grey Owl & Goldbrick. My percentages went up overnight thanks to you guys on the other side of the planet. But now the percentages are dropping & although I'm still in the lead the tapper is gaining and must have a strong loyal base or voters or they like her legs? Voting is open until ca mid day Wednesday your time.
BronzeWailer I love your comment much appreciated ie just ignore my wobbly playing (vibrato?) which tends to be on the rise with my age!

I need more votes as the tap dancer at the rate she is pulling in votes will overtake me. I certainly would not want to see a tap dancer beat a harp player so please if you have not voted your vote will be most welcome. I would love to win the US trip.

She does have good pegs (if I was about twenty five years older, she'd have to look out for me), but I reckon if there's any justice, you'll romp it in.

C'mon MBH'rs The tap dancer is gaining ground fast:(
She's probably being helped by the modern tap dance forum who spend their day discussing the relative merits of toe blocking against toe pinching and customising tap shoes:- gapping, arching etc.,
The harmonica is so unappreciated and so far down the pecking order, surely it musn't be allowed to come after tap dancing, there's only jews harp, paper & comb and synchronised swimming left after that.
Help Aussie to set foot on your homeland:)

To all of you who have voted for me a really big thank you. I now only have around a 1% lead with the tap dancer making rapid ground.
Come on especially you Harp players surely we cannot allow a tap dancer to get ahead. If you have not voted here is the link:-
