Any thoughts, suggestions on Beringer vs QSC powered PA speakers for use with pedal setups, in lieu of an amp? Thinking of Beringer B912 NEO or QSC K12. I may also want to use it in conjunction with line out from an amp as an option.

I'd take QSC over Behringer any day of the week. Far more superior in terms of construction and sound quality IMHO. I had a little fun a while back with a little Peavey Messenger portable PA. Gave me some more flexibility and tone control. ----------

I can't say, since I have never tried that setup: pedals into powered PA speaker in lieu of a tube amp. The Behringer may work well at half the cost. I know Mike Fugazzi (HarpNinja) uses the QSC for this.
What I can tell you is that I used Mackie powered speakers for years and never had any problem. I am a big believer in Mackie quality, both in the sound and the build.

I agree with Hawkeye. QSC hands down over Behringer. Also agree with Rick about the Mackie powered units. I've used them in my work for years and they held up and performed well, but we replaced our Mackie's with the QSC K-series because the I/O interface was so much more flexible, and they're lighter.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm also not sure if I want a K12 or a K10. I know the K 10 would be smaller and lighter.

You know ...if it's a pedal setup you're after, Richard Hunter has said many times that if he's not using one of his DigiTech pedals directly through the PA, he uses a Peavey KB series keyboard amp. Might not be a bad idea to look at that route rather than a powered PA speaker. ----------
