Hi all,
I've not posted here for a good while. I've sort of been on Harp Hiatus for almost a year now.
I woke up a while ago from woodshedding every possible hr i could get to not wanting to play at all. I lost my passion for the harp overnight:o( I thought i just needed a break but the more of a break i took the guiltier i felt about not practicing and not keeping up with posts on the forum or harp related stuff and just a general feeling of becoming very distant with an instrument i had loved completely for the last 7 yrs or so.
After a few months away from the harp i decided to wood shed a song even if i didn't feel like it. I chose Whammer Jammer,and after seeing Hakan Ehn's awesome version i decided to finish off woodshedding it.
Don't get me wrong I've not learnt this in a year, I've been trying to learn it bit by bit since Adam posted his first Whammer Jammer instructional video and it's far from perfect especially my blow bends but I've used the song to hold onto the harp over the last 12 months and i feel myself falling back in love with the instrument once again. Looks like i need that break after all:o)

Hi Ant, not being a great fan of Whammer Jammer I couldn't make any comparison with the real thing but there were some little touches of brilliance in there I'm sure.
Good to see you post again. It's good to take a break now and again but after all the time, sweat and dosh you've invested in harp I'm sure you're enthusiasm will get invigorated again. I hope so cos you're pretty darned good.
May mean less time on the tattooists couch though :) Oh yeah, just remembered, you had a harp inked on your leg didn't you?
Anyway, good to hear from you again.

Very nice, Ant! I was just wondering the other day where you had gone! The last I saw from you was that nice third position blues you posted, I think. Nice job on WJ. You are very good at that TB-chord stuff!
