Hello there!
Well, today I'm coming to you with a little question I have.
I play in two bands and a duo, so I'm constantly playing live, usually twice a week. Sometimes I take public transport to the bar or, if the bar is near my house and it's not raining, I just walk.
My carry is a backpack with my harps, microphones, cables and stuff, a microphone stand in my hand and a small Laney Cub10 amp. The problem is I only weight 110 lbs., so the 33 lbs. I have to carry over my shoulders is a considerable weight for me, specially when I wake up the day after, when my back starts to ache.
I was thinking about use one of those folding shopping carts, which have a removable bag. With some modifications, I think it could be a nice tool to carry my amp, and may be use it as an amp stand on stage. I want to secure the amp against bounces, so the tubes and other parts would not get any damage.
I'm talking about this kind of carts:

Any recommendation will be welcome.
PS: I checked my grammar three times, but sorry if there's any mistake. My english is not perfect.

I still think someone should design an amp with wheels and a handle. :)

I want someone to design everything that fits in my phone!
Seriously though, I have used one of those shopping trolleys to take amp, harps, mic etc. They are ok. If your gear fits in ok then it is a good option. I set mine up for eg busking and I leave the amp in the trolley & have fashioned a small but extendible pole with a mic clip & this is fastened to the frame. Works ok. ---------- HARPOLDIEāS YOUTUBE

Looks like a pretty good solution. My amp has a special wheely bag but it weighs 15kg so I can't really put it in a backpack. I have a backpack for mics, cables, water and so on, a mic stand bag and a briefcase (or pool-cue case) for my harps. A one-stop solution looks like a good idea. The only issue is you need a strong bag and sometimes those shopping trolleys are a bit weak.

Hi Martic.
I would like to suggest something akin to the magnacart.
http://www.magnacart.net/
They will be more robust and carry a bigger payload. Starting at 60kgs, so double your body weight in pounds.
And they are easily collapsible.
Some other suggestions would be an amp cover and some decent occy straps too! ----------

Yeah Ray, thats the way to go. MY guitar players use the magnacart. I have owned 2 like the Rastro, and they broke. Why, the amp was too heavy and the construction was lightweight. They are good for hauling stuff to the beach, park, etc.

I use a cart, but the bag I use for my mic and gear is not attached to the cart. I would like to have one like the one in the picture you posted. I went to Rastro.com and that company appears to be in South America. I wonder if any company in the usa sells those carts with bag attached. It works great for our music jams.

Here's and interesting amp solution--it does have wheels, a handle, and it's rechargable--but weighs in at 45 pounds--I don't know how it sounds--I've just been interested in finding a good busking rig that is very portable. . .

oldwailer,
I play whit one of those amp in a music store one time. They are not amps, they are more like a PA whit mics, instruments, and RCA inputs.

OK--I gotta ask a stuuupid question--what is the difference between a PA and an amp?? I own four amps now, but I have owned a 400 watt PA a few years back--I used them pretty much the same way--don't they just both make things louder?
I just play acoustic--without all the overdriven kind of sounds--and a PA worked well for me--it was just too bulky and heavy to haul around. . . ---------- Oldwailer's Web Site

an amp is a circuit that gives the sounds some character (more lows, more mids, more highs, and so on) a PA is an amplifier whit no character, is just a full clean sound.

I had the Magnacart... it bent after a few uses. So, I have caster wheels on the Bassman and I just carry the other amps.
