Is there any reason why a new post would suddenly vanish? Just tried to post a link to a Paul Oscher YouTube vid, but within a few seconds my post completely vanished. Tried again - same result.

From what I understand it seems to do it mostly on posts where the amount of text is very short. I this case I noticed you only posted the YouTube page address. So I suspect that the forum software probably interprets that as possible spam and acts accordingly. You could try it again and maybe embed the video rather than using just the page address. Or maybe add a line or so of text before the address to see if that solves the problem.

Yep, that's what happened. When the software thinks it's spam, it puts it in a spam folder. About once a day I check and restore all the 'spam'. So far it averages about 1 blocked message a day, since around December and has actually caught 1 real spam message. I hate the feature, and it could be fixed if they just flagged the spam for review but left it there until a moderator reviewed it instead of deleting it and making us restore it, and we've asked them to change it, but apparently enough of their clients don't screen their sites that they prefer it this way. :(

Okay - thanks, guys. (Unnecessary words inserted in brackets here in order to fulfil anti-spam filter requirements and ensure this reply doesn't vanish.)
