I picked up one of these today. Wondering if anyone has had any of these rare large carvin amps? Has same transformers as Bassman. Two 12's and two 8's. Three of the speakers are blown. 5881's and 5u4. This amp is incredible just wondering if anyone had info or a schematic for one.

bigtone, I've been through all the schematic databases I can think of and come up emptyhanded. But I put in a request to Carvin's tech support staff. A guy there has already emailed me back and said they don't have one immediately at hand, but he seems pretty intrigued by it himself and he's gonna keep digging through their archives.

yeah guys I am really really excited to get this amp up and running it is about the coolest amp I have seen in awhile. When I get back in town next week it will get repaired and I have to find some speakers for it. Please any info anyone has let me know

they are very cool.
ya don't see them very often.
Carvin used the same chassis with a couple of different speaker layouts/cabinets. You might get lucky on a schem on one of the others...?

Tweed is right. As it mentions in the advertisement, that amp was also offered as the Model# 15-8-B, which was marketed as a bass amp. I've tried looking for that too. Still no dice.

The monster!!!! Got it back today. Of course the original jensen p12rs and p8rs are being reconed so there is just on weber in it so I could hear it. The amp sounds insane good like a bassman with less brittleness and has much more mellow warm tone. Pretty frickin loud!! Can't wait to hear it with 5881's which it calls for instead of 6l6's. Also with the reconed speakers. Trem is amazing!! All inputs sound different in strength and tone. She is a monster. I installed new handle with old brackets after bout killin myself with the massive rivets in this thing. Someone put the paper on the back panel with the labels for the controls. Missing one knob. Had it fully serviced and fuse holder added etc..
