You parted with a Vibrolux Reverb? Blackface or Silverface?
Ampeg's one maker I don't have much experience with. I tried a GVT5 out not long ago. It had good tone for a little 5-watter. That J-20 is a good lookin' little SOB though.

I have not tried the amp but the specs look interesting. I'd like to hear a video clip of it if you find one.

Looks nice-essentially a brown 6g3 deluxe circuit (3x12ax7, 2x6v6, 1x5ar4), hand built (turret board), in a good cabinet, with an alnico speaker. all reviews say it sounds great. 25 lbs. from the pix, it looks like paper foil capacitors and carbon comp resistors through most of the circuit.

I used one last night at gig. My Alamo's power is cutting out intermittently and I haven't had a chance to open it up and look at it. So our bass player brought his J-20 out for me to use. By itself, it's got some ballsy tone and nice breakup. I ran my 'Zoo's line out into it and used them both. HOLY CRAP! Fantastic! The sound guy made a board tape of the whole show. When I get my hands on a copy, I'll try and get some clips posted here. When I get a chance I'll go to our bass player's house and try to do a little review on it.
