Well ... haven't posted any soundfiles of my playing yet, so why not a link to a live radio gig we did today ... Only half of the band could make it so we did an acoustic set, Two songs, guitar and harp. Just a SM58 for the harp. See if you can hear two stuck reeds on the second song.
An interview in gibberish between the songs, just skip that.
Hmmm. Dude can play. Special thumbs up to one my favorite things and that is tasteful octaves, it turns the harp into a whole new neighborhood. What type of harps were you using? I'm going to guess it wasn't a Hohner.
Littoral ... Yes, octaves really widens the tone, don't they ... The harps I chose for this gig were custom Hohner MS (Meisterclasse plates 'n covers with wooden combs) because their tone has a deep strong body and controllable shimmering highs ... Hohner MS ... I know ...I'm sorry, guilty as charged ... but I like the MS, specially the lower keys. ---------- The tone, the tone ... and the Tone

When I listened aftrwards I noticed my taiming was a bit off in the first songs solopart. But, well well ... ---------- The tone, the tone ... and the Tone

Another Swede -- and excellent playing! Perfect balance in the harp/singing interaction. Very nice to hear. Are you cupping the SM 58 and chanelling directly to the board -- or is it "acoustic"?
Thnx Martin ... No mic cupping going on ... playing the air, so to speak, or acoustic as you put it ... on the other hand I'm cupping the harp though, of course, to work the tone and to controll the highs. I also play the SM58 a bit off axis ( to the side ) since this takes some edge off the tone ... ---------- The tone, the tone ... and the Tone
