Norway 1977 - Muddy Waters with [edit] Jerry Portnoy[/edit], Willie Big Eyes Smith, Pinetop Perkins, Bob Margolin - I've never seen this video before. 38 minutes of the real deal. It just doesn't get any better.

I think this is Jerry Portnoy on harmonica, not Lee Oscar. BTW great video!

I love Jerry Portnoy's playing. He doesn't seem to get his due, though. I think this video is a masterclass in Chicago Blues accompaniment playing. A great ensemble player!

saw this exact Muddy Waters band line-up back in the late 70s. bugged Jerry Portnoy w/ questions afterward. loved every minute of every show. great stuff greg!
