MP and Mojokane will be playing til midnite.
"The Good Ole Days" refers to just that. We both grew up here in Honolulu....and go all the way back to kindergarten. This photo was taken from our class photo. And have been friends ever since.
We both started playing about 8 th grade. I quit a month later. He kept up...and is a baddass player.
for me, I was a late bloomer(40's), and just kept my nose to the grindstone, as they say. I'm good enough these days, because I practice all the time and have earned the respect of my fellow local musicians. And frankly, we both are blessed to have such great players on board. Sorry we liv so far away from you guys..
....it would be cool to see ANY OF YOU over here!
the pier in the background, my older brother took in 65 or 66. The pier is long gone. Hence, the good ole days went with it.

It's a bit of work and planning to get from the frozen Canadian north to Honolulu. Can't make it to tonight's show but how about a year from now!? Going to the David Barrett 20th Anniversary Harmonica Masterclass being held in San Jose April, 2014. One of the additional costs imposed by my wife for me to attend this workshop is a week in Honolulu after the harmonica portion of the trip is complete. Sounded fair to me. So got a question. The bar looks to be very centrally located for anyone staying near Waikiki. Is it blues year round? Any other blues joints you could recommend?
