I'm assuming that Deak will be there. Deak, will you be there? I've heard rumors that you've got a new harmonica-friendly store going on. Please share info!
This Saturday, April 13th, from 11 AM until 4 PM or so, I'll be playing the sidewalk in front of Southern Expressions, which is just down the block from Ground Zero--same side of the street, just past the parking lot. Special treat: I will be accompanied by (and accompanying) both Alan Gross and Shine Turner. My two local guitar men. This gives us the classic Chicago combo: two guitars, harp, and drums. Call us the New Delta Jukin' Blues Docs, if ya wanna. Should be fun. If you're a member of this forum and have your harps on you, please let me know and I'll do my best to give you a chance to sit in.

Adam, thanks for thinking of me. I've got a gig that weekend and it falls in the middle of the fest. I'm hoping to be the the one in '14 and maybe bring Jolene or Jag or both along. Jo and I may have our next cd finished by then too!
Hope y'all have a great one and I'll be thinking good thoughts for you and looking for video from there.

Saw Deak today in Clarksdale. He sounded great. His store had its grand opening two days ago. If you're at the festival, make a point of stopping by.
I understand that Jon Gindick was playing somewhere in town. OMG.
I played for four hours this afternoon, just down the block from Ground Zero. Perfect weather: clear, sunny (I was in the shade), high 60s, dry. No mosquitoes. It was battery powered today--two Mouses, reversed to face the wall behind me--but tomorrow I'll have the full PA and tube amps. 11 AM to 4 PM.

Me too Groyster. Long time King Biscuit attendee, first Juke Joint. I couldn't get past the first block. We parked at Ground Zero and had it, Delta Amusement, BluesTown music store, Deak Harp's store and Stogie Box Cigar Box guitars all on that block.
And got to sit in with Blind Mississippi Morris.
