This funny project is on my list for years. Now I found a solution to pimp my Danelectro Nifty Fifty. On this website http://www.bikeglow.com you`ll find safety lights for your bike. They are really great, I use them for my own bike. Not only. The result is a nice glowing amp. You can use the lights in a steady, slow flashing or in a fast flashing mode. It runs with batteries. And I used sticky tape to fix the lights, but you will not see them in a live situation and when the lights are on.
You use the nifty fifty as a harp amp? I wonder what mic you use and how you set it? I have one here but it feeds back so badly I keep it for wife to play slide guitar through. ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/jawboneandjolene
Jbone: Yes, I use it since many years and it is still my favorite amp! Without any special tricks, just the amp an some effect pedals. I´d never ever had any troubles with feedback. The mic I`m using in the video is a bluexlab from italy and the Octave pedal from LoneWolf
Cool. It's a really nice look. I keep expecting in a couple years as digital displays keep getting cheaper (and looking at the bendable displays) that someone will put something digital on them. That's probably a few years down the line though.
