Hi 1847, why have you put a tip jar link on your posting? Who gets the money? This is only the second time I've encountered the tip jar link on the MBH forum.

Would I be tipping you for posting a clip of humble pie?

Really?

Is that what it is?

Are the surviving members of humble pie getting the dough?

Please let me know, I'm very curious.

I look forward to your reply.

Sincerely.....Sherwin

@ 1847, okay your reply is humorous, and I support your right to get shitfaced on cheap wine, only I still don't get the tip link on the post when other posts: helpful responses to posted problems/questions, entertaining posts (such as yours), and posts of forum members sharing audio/video clips of their own performances are not accompanied by an implied request for payment.

I did just read the 'wanted musicians who work for tips' thread in the hopes that I had missed something that would help me make sense of the link on you posting.

Is every post on every thread here on this forum soon going to have a tip jar link on it? Did I just not get the memo?

It just weirds me out, that's all, hope my message doesn't sound too sour, I just had to comment on this.

Humble Pie's a fun soultrip to listen to any day!

As for the tipjar thingy, I see nothing wrong with it. Just a little something he's chosen to put in his signature. As Danny said, tip if you want to, don't if you don't. That simple.

Bobby, I may run a similar operation for Thunderbird. ;-)

francis....ahem sherwin
i posted a tipjar link to my signature ...cause i can!

i can post video's i can post audio tracks, but for the life of me i cannot post a picture.
i mean i can cause i have posted several pictures.
but most of the time they do not post, it is very frustrating.

i posted the tipjar link it took several tries but it was successful...now if i could only post a picteur!

not really expecting anyone from this forum to send a tip
but stranger things have happened.
i received my first tipjar tip before posting the link
or even playing.

were you a schoolyard bully?
are you going to take danny's lunch money when he meets you at the monkey bars?
if so perhaps you could donate a portion of the proceeds.... like i said earlier, the first 10 dollars goes to adam.

1847 I forgot to thank you for responding to my post, thank you.
Sure you can post the link and I will get used to it (eat humble pie),
It will become one more thing to be included in what is normal.

If we do ever meet in person, and I hope we do, It would be my pleasure to buy you an enormous bottle of terrible wine.

No I am not, and never was a bully,
Danny is safe I, I repeat, Danny is safe. So is his lunch money, sorry 1847.

Cheers for this thread, I had kinda left Steve Marriot in all his incarnations behind me and this thread has brought him right back to me.
i just sat and watched The Life And Times Of Steve Marriot Documentary and it was GREAT, what a talent, the greatest ones always die too young.

Was lucky enough to see Humble Pie at a weekend end rock festival in Germany in 1972 or 73 (along with Family, Kinks, Wishbone Ash, Curved Air, Gentle Giant and a lot of other European based bands).

Steve literally had a wall of Marshall Amps behind him and the band was LOUD LOUD LOUD, but can't deny his power, talent, guitar and harmonica playing abilities and vocals...such a big presence for such a little guy!
