I can't edit my posts any more.
And you used to be able to try a new captcha without losing your post. Not any more. It just ate a post I spent ten minutes typing.

you're right. I seldom get the captcha right on the first try, and my posts tend to be long and my patience short. Not a happy combination if this continues.

Agreed.
If you hit back a few times in Chrome, you can get back to what you typed and copy it.

The captcha system in use sucks. It frequently presents ambiguous images.

Only issue I've come across is what time pointed out. Editing doesn't work anymore. You click it and all it seems to do is refresh the thread's page.

You could consider it a form of "improvisation"
...imagine ALL those incredibly spectacular one of kind perfectly improvised solos that have been instantly vaporized never to be heard again, now that is an injustice :(
