Well, it seems we have new spam filters. I don't know if they are showing up for you guys too, but there seems to be some auto sorting going on. What this seems to mean is that the forum software is trying to guess what is spam and what isn't. We now see a list of comments that are marked as spam. They show up in the thread to us but a little notifier tells us no one else can see them. In our admin menus we can see a folder of everything the software has marked as spam and reinstate it or delete it. I'm just giving everyone a heads-up, so if one of your comments disappears mysteriously, the software probably got it, and we'll get it put back the next time we check the folder. I checked it today and there were about a dozen comments in there, stacked up from the last few days, and not one of them was actually spam, but hey, what are you going to do. Just wanted you to know it wasn't us randomly deleting posts. :(

Any common thread/tone/verbiage for comments that get flagged? (Don't want to offer examples or this comment may fall victim as well.)

Someone got flagged for a post that just said '5 Stars'. Posts that have a embedded link and not much else too. I'll try to check the folder every day when I go through the applications. It doesn't seem to matter your post count- Kingly and BronzeWailer had threads marked as spam, among others. :)

Yeah, it got one of my posts on the Eddie C. Campbell thread. I didn't notice it at the time, but I did have to go through the 'captcha' routine a second time because I missed a letter or something. I simply hit post and thought all was good. I was taken to task for good reason because only my signature showed up and it seemed that I was simply touting my book on a thread of utmost seriousness....the health problems of one of the greats. The same thing happened a second time today when I wrote another post. An third abbreviated post final made it through the process.
