Track 16 - Partymatic (HEADS UP - explicit lyrics)
I stopped by a friend of mine's studio a couple weeks ago and he asked to me play on this track. I did one take (pre-vox) and I could barely hear myself b/c the headphones were cutting in and out the entire time. I was playing acoustically into a SHURE dynamic bass drum mic, not sure what model. I'm not a big fan of the song itself, but IMHO I think my playing was ok, considering I had no idea what it sounded like while I was recording it haha.
Let me know what you guys think!!

I thought the playing was good, Adam. Sounds like you were using the 6 overblow?

You have great ears Todd!! Yes. #6 OB on a 1896 MB in G customized by yours truly. I use that one A LOT!! #6 OB and #10 OD are my most commonly used overbends. Although I don't believe I used the 10 OD on this, I do use it just about as often as the #6 OB. Especially on a lower keyed harp like G.
Thanks to you and TJ for teaching me how to bend the overbends. I feel that I'm really starting to get a good hold on it. This is one of my best recorded examples of bending an overblow. ---------- C. Adam Hamil HOHNER CERTIFIED Free Reed Instrument Technician

Adam, dumb question here...
What is a HOHNER CERTIFIED Free Reed Instrument Technician.
I know, seems obvious, but - trust me, I'm slow :)

@frank It means that Hohner Inc presented me with a certificate of achievment, stating that my skills are up to par with their standards.
I work for Hohner Inc. where my job title is "Free Reed Instrumnet Technician". My job consists mainly of performing warranty repairs, quality control, custom orders, and artist set-up for Harmonicas, Accordions, Melodicas, and any other Hohner free reed instruments. ---------- C. @Adam: Cool stuff! I've been saying for several years now that the harmonica has a place in Hip Hop, and this example is yet one more piece of evidence confirming that for me. Great job! ----------
