I'd like to add a reverb effect and a rotary spker effect to my arsenal. However, I'd like to do it on a budget as they will be used very sparingly. My regular rig is a Harp Commander Four with delay, Micro Pog and an LW Harp Octave into the PA. I'm not trying to start the the reverb vs. delay debate again! LOL I sometimes like the sound of minimal delay with on board reverb from an amp but I no longer use an amp. Looking for suggestions based on your live experiences.
Thanks in advance,
Jay

Jay, I would look at the Digitech RP155 and the Huntersounds patch sets. The unit can be bought used on ebay\craigs list for around $70 and the patches are $25.00. For under $100.00 you could have quite an arsenal of new sounds to explore. I will admit I have no experience using this product which you were asking for, but I'm bidding on one while we speak. I do own the Micro Pog which I don't use much and the LW Tone+ which I almost always use and plan to use with the Digitech.

I'll second rainman's recommendation. Hunter is the man when it comes to digital modeling effects for harp. For a time, I had a Digitech RP90, which was not a USB accessible pedal. But I managed to figure out a few of his patch settings and programmed them in by hand on my pedal. They sounded awesome! I wound up selling my RP90. But I'm seriously considering buying another RP that is USB accessible.

One other option I might recommend to you however, to use with your HC4, is a Peavey Valverb. They're no longer in production so eBay is about the only way to go to get one. But you could run it through the effects loop on the HC4, it would give you tube-driven spring reverb, and it has a very nice tremolo on it as well to get you an analog rotary speaker effect. I talked with Ron Holmes not long ago, and he said that he's gonna have a mod for the HC4 to make it rack-mountable. Take that and a Valverb, which is already a rack-mount, slap em in a case, and you have a go-anywhere-easy harp rig playable through any amplification device.

Trawl e-bay and the like, look out for a Yamaha DG Stomp...never tried the "AG stomp", but if you see one cheap enough it may be worth a punt. You can turn off all the patches, go manual mode, then you can just use reverb, delay & chorus effects (inc. trem/leslie) as you please.

Intuative knobs & footswitch controls.

@ Hawkeye: The Valverb sounds fabulous. However, the one on ebay is priced at $649. Apparently, the Valverb was a sleeper that has really appreciated!
Thanks anyway!

It's true. Half the time they go for a pretty penny, the other half of the time they go for around half that.

The RP stuff sounds great, but remember you have to cycle through things to turn them off and on. The Hunter set is overkill if you just want verb and rotary.

You could, depending on budget, get dedicated pedals that would be easy to tweak. You could get the RV-7 and TR-7 used from DT for around $150?

If you can find a used Line 6 Rotomachine, they sound pretty good and can be had for $75-80.

If it were me, and I only really needed those two, but wanted them to sound pretty good, I'd look for a Zoom G3. They are $170, knew, but much cheaper used. It would also give you one more effect block for delay or octaver or something.

Long time no post, let alone even come to the forum(Happy New Year!), but here's a vid I did of the RotoVibe a year or two ago. I've used it for years. Thing's built like a tank;the same chassis as a CryBaby pedal.
