I've heard a little about the Hollands. Botiques by Dave Holland, who I believe is no longer building. Sano I've also heard of. New Jersey based. They made another model called the Sano-ette that was virtually a copy of the Kalamazoo Model Two.

Looks like Val King has some cool harp amps littering the store. A visit may be in order. Of course, Gary would sound good through anything including a solid state amp.

Whoa, Gary! Wicked....

That Multivox amp has the same cab and covering and grill cloth as my 1964 Marvel amp. Hmmmm, it does not sound the same.

The 210 airline sounded pretty great to my ears

The 410 holland sounds exactly like one would expect it to sound

The last holland was bit much my least favorite

The sano was my second least favorite

The multivox sounded really nice too

I remember using a Holland at a jam at the Five O'Clock club in Bradenton, FL back in the 90's. It had some kind of blues harp mod, can't really recall what it was. The amp was pretty nice.

That multivox 40 is not half as good as a multivox combo bass amp. I have 2 one is in the same covering as the model 40 and the other is black on black.

I've also had a model 40 which I got rid of that sounded horrible.

I liked the Sano amp least: Kind of nasal sounding.

I liked the Holland Juke Joint amp best. That thing busts out. Nice rip.

What is it with all this "hand wired" stuff? Wasn't everything hand wired in the early 60s when most of these amps were made?

Yeah, but not everyone might know that. King's prolly just trying to make the amps look as appealing as possible to potential buyers.

PCB amps were available, but not common, from the late 50's. Certainly available in the 60's, I think more in Europe than US though.
