The last post I see from Walter Tore is from Dec 2. Is he still around? I hope everything is OK.

Don't know were he's at, but I'd bet you the farm that he is spontaneously creating music were ever he is :)

Walter has been posting tracks to his SoundClick page over the last few days. So he's still around.

Walters’s message is "simply difficult" and to comprehend its essence will take most of us lifetimes to figure out – let alone understand. Again – it’s in the simplicity of the message that confounds the student.

Bummer. I like Walter, but I understand how he feels. Only a small number of people are interested in the old days and the people playing back then.

Hopefully, he will be back. I always enjoyed his insight, his music and his stories.

I like his stories best. He makes music faster than I can listen to it, so I fall behind, but I always love his stories.

hi All: I was notified a few people were asking about me. I am fine and thank you for thinking of me! I follow my heart. It lead me to post on this and a couple other forums so I did. Recently my heart told me to stop. There was no specific reason for this but I know that when I follow my heart things always get better. I continue to do email and phone (prefer phone) and have been recording my music as much as ever. Things continue to get more clear and at peace and leaving the forums has already added to this feeling. I have been putting a lot of time into my special education commercial bakery classroom. We are a state of Ohio licensed bakery and our name is - THE SMILING WITH HOPE BAKERY. We are selling 4-6,000 items a week-breads, boiled/baked bagels, baked sweets, and all the stuff you find in an old school bakery. Everything is handmade the old school way that I learned as a kid. The best natural ingredients and this create a product one is hard pressed to find outside the wealthy metropolitan areas. I applied for a grant and got it for a brand new van. Now we have a dedicated delivery vehicle and will soon work on getting our stuff into the local grocery stores. For now we are walk in and supply 2 school district cafeterias and a few cafe/restaurants. This is a great thing. My students are learning the skills to reach maximum independence as adults. Our hand tossed pizzas/baked in legendary NYC vintage ovens is taking off- we cold ferment the dough, grate our own cheese blend, use tomatoes from Italy, and fresh herbs. It is definetly the best pie to be found in central ohio. I have a student that is already managing up to 12 pizzas at a time in our 2 stone deck ovens. She prepares, tosses, puts in, takes out. This is no small feat and is probably the only person besides me that can do this in this area. She must have been a pizza maker in another life! I learned my baking and pizza making skills from my mothers side. They are all from Italy and I was raised in that culture in the Newark NJ area. It was the same way I learned music-from the masters with no books. Just be around them and absorb... I never thought it would pay off in such a meaningful way.
So I will be gone for now but if my heart tells me to get back on I will be back on. Keep following your dreams and they will all come true. Don't fear walking blindly. That is where sight is found. Call or email me anytime. I had a lot of good times here and hope things continue going in positive directions. Walter (740)587-0621 (EST) waltertore@sbcglobal.net
