A few years ago I did a show with Liz. It was really really fun. She did two sets. The first was all blues and she played to a crowd of a few hundred that were mostly sitting at watching.
The second set was almost all covers and popular soul and funk. That got the people up dancing. She was an excellent performer and entertainer and gave the crowd what they wanted.
Her backing band, who I spend most the evening with, talked about how impossible it was to sustain a career playing blues. They were guys my age plus a middle aged sax player. I remember them commenting on this particular show being really fun and how my band, although really good, was smart to keep day jobs, lol.
I've talked to her a few times before and after, but haven't spoken with her much the last several years. She was quite the flirt and it made it hard to focus on what I was playing when we were on stage together, lol. The sax player caught on right away that I could keep up with the band and he was composing lines on the spot to play together. It was the most fun I've had sitting in with a band.
She accidently played Scratch My Kitty twice, but no one seemed to mind. ---------- Custom Harmonicas

She did Scratch my Kitty when i saw her last night too.
lot of energy in that little package. she went horse back riding all day and showed up at 9:30 and wouldn't quit. i did a gig earlier and left about 11 before she was finished.
she told one lady i was the cutie w/ the harp and really nice but looked like a real P-Hound. my lady friend said, "well, that's because he is".
Liz is very ribald, Mike. i have a hell of a good time messin' with her and vise versa.
i'll see her again Saturday. MojoKane (he lives next door to me)is showing her around and being her driver. ---------- MP affordable reed replacement and repairs.
