"The spam prevention code you entered was not right"
Is it me, or am I supposed to enter it twice, every time I post?

Each code times out after a while, so if you have a thread open to read for a few minutes, refresh it to get a new code before you try to post something.
It used to be worse until they lengthened the time out period.

Tom, lol! Sometimes it feels like it!
The code times out after 15 minutes. It used to be even shorter. The hosting company insists it's a security thing, but, the only ways a spammer could exploit it would involve software downloading screen shots of the captcha to hack them, and needing time to do it. I suspect if the spammer had those kinds of resources they'd just keep a record of the solved ones and compare any new captcha to solved ones. I don't think the database is all that deep. My autofill solves most of them for me. I know I've got a ton of posts, but not really a ton compared to what an automated attack could produce.
They did extend the time after a rash of complaints. It's particularly annoying if you are a modern style web surfer who opens up a bunch of tabs at once and then closes them as your finished with them. Sometimes every captcha is timed out.
