Hello from Oxford, England. New to the forum.

I've been learning to play for just a short while and enjoying it - it's going to be a long journey I can see.

I've been working through Adam Gussow's videos, which are essential viewing I think. Now I have learnt some basic technique I am listening to some of the masters at half speed or slower and although I can't copy them I can now understand some of what they are doing - which was impossible before.

I have been playing accoustically on Special 20s but want to try amplified. I have a little Fender Mini Twin amp and a StageLine DM-030 mic. Simple, inexpensive kit but it works well to learn on and gives some nice crunchy sounds. The tiny speakers are fine for low-volume practice, and there is a headphone/line-out for a bigger sound.
