Just a little update show n tell..day off today. Havin my coffee and hanging withmy Pal, Romeo...
I put legs, speaker jack, and handle...it's ready to drive whatever works. Supposedly 30 watts. But not TUBE watts..
It smoked pretty good with 2X10's. Alnico matched, equivalent to P10r's ROla's..
Any idea's on a good 12" speaker that will have enough bottom?
Careful, people...
the 8 ohm out restricts any pairs, or quad cabs if not wired correctly. And will cause damage to the amp.
Best set up for 8 ohm out...
16 ohm speakers for pairs, or series parallel, for 4X10's.
Remember this is a solid state amp, too. Although SS, it is truly one of the exceptions.
There have been many times when you would NOT believe it. It actually possessed crunch mid range and bottom. Everything.
The room definitely has something to do with it, too.
MP will testify..we were blown away. He knows all too well about it, already.
I got the amp from him, 15 years ago.
It was one of his first loves.(correct me if I'm wrong, MP). Keepin it in the family...
He's quite happy with his Snake Skin Model One 2X12 cab.
I just gave the Pignose a facelift. We'll see if it performs well, soon enough...

You will have to decide for yourself, but I have read about and heard sound samples with harp using an Eminence 12" cannabis Rex. It is reputed to be a good 12 for harp.

I just now tested the Pignose 30/60, with a 2X12 speaker cab. mid 60's Rola's, smooth cones, big alnico's, off Ebay. And woah! the tone was pretty good. too. lot's of everything.
It would be nice to get it all from a 1X12.
Im now lookin for one, if you can steer me in the right direction...thanks again.

that amp started out as a 1/12 tan combo. i borrowed it as a loaner from the repair shop when my Fender got ill.
i liked it so much, i traded a 12" JBL and $40 for it back in 89.
30/60 has nothing to wattage. mystery.
cute thing. gotta hear it.
