I decided to try some additional combs, so I ordered a dymonwood and a brown bamboo from Hetrick. The dymonwood doesn't work for me. I prefer the thicker.25" profile of the bamboo. I liked it so much that I ordered three more, both the yellow/natural and another brown one.
I have a G GM that's been put together from 2 or 3 other harps, and it's never played quite right for me. After putting on one of the bamboo combs and tweaking the gaps a little, it now plays great. I'm just as pleased with the three other harps I re-combed.

Many thanks to the Hetrick team.

I just picked up a bunch of cheap deluxe marine bands. I haven't even received them yet I'm already itching to try some custom combs. My first custom is Hetrick bamboo....thinking of now trying a Corian jobber from BlueMoon(being the time of the seasons and all). Can't wait!
