There I was looking at 10 blown out harps, and facing a big replacement bill.Wait a minute how about honolulu hohner reed mechanic, and the harp virtuoso MP.I have used his service before,so off went a box.A short 10 days later I'm back in the saddle at one third the price. No digging in the gig bag for marathon woodshedding forays.

MP outdid himself with this batch, retuned, polished, and clearly done by a man who has passion for his work.Dealing with a good number of people on this board either by referals,or me taking a flyer, all have turned out positive, and most of all like making a new friend. The knowledge I have gained through numerous well seasoned posting players has brought me further down the road than I can express. Thanks MBH you are truly one of a kind.

My pleasure Captain! after i cleaned the plates your
harps sorta sang out with increased volume. Do you take them out on your ship? this is not a bad thing. i do it on the other captjs Catamaran- (CaptjHawaii)
but it might be a good idea to clean your reed plates every 6 months.

Bee, i talked to Matt this morning so your combs will be here long before your harmonicas. Blue Corian is really handsome.

Mark Prados is performing a wonderfull service.
I sent him five harps including a low F that had been sitting around wasting away doing nothing and he sent me back five harps beautifully repaired about a week later.
Got a chance to use a couple of them at a jam over the weekend.
Making the world a better place one harmonica at a time indeed...

This afternoon with a friend, we are gonna try to replace the sharpest A reed of a A harp with a reed out of an old C harp.
We have no screws, no bolts, no weld: only a drill machine and a vise.
Do you think we are masochists? Maybe, but we also have ideas (and some time).
Oh, I forgot: the reeds are not the same size, cause we'll operate with a Hering and an old Blues Harp...

@MP: an order from Tasmania? Then we can say it's in the pocket?

Very good, yes I wondered if it was in reference to marsupials. I wasn't sure. It's true that marsupials are very common throughout Australia. I'm not sure if that is more true of Tasmania than of the big island. But interesting if it is the perception abroad.

Maybe weird, but in Virginia they have the oppossum which is a marsupial as well.
And still more curious, here in Belgium, we have the marsupilami...
