Hi,

Has any of you have tried this harp:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chicago-Blues-Harmonica-Key-of-G-/320950723015?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4aba2761c7

It has a clear plastic comb. The harp most be a bad one, but the comb will fit in to another harp?? That would be cool!

I have one in C, and my buddy Fred who owns that Gretsch 6149 has a 7 key box set of them. They are pretty lousy in most respects. I did use them when I played in the orchestra during a local production of Big River because they were breathy and tinny, which was the sound I needed. But other than that, they're pretty much only good as practice harps.

I dunno about the comb compatibility though. I may take mine apart this weekend and fiddle about. I'll let you know what comes of it if anything.

I had one of these and the comb was very poorly made and brittle. Not sure if you could put Marine Band Deluxe reed plates in it or not, but you could probably buy a clear acrylic comb from one of the comb makers for about the same cost as the harp, around $10 I believe, and it would be far superior to this comb for sure.
