I second that :-) Kinya contributes a lot with his meticulous reviews of harps and accessories, explanations of repair and customisation techniques etc. His pieces are always interesting to read and illustrated with great photos.

Good God Brendan - with that endorsement from you, Kinya may be next in line to be recruited into the HOHNER AFFILIATED CUSTOMIZER community...
I suppose once a customizer reaches a certain level of excellence, he or she will be courted by a BIG DOG harp company and hopefully be persuaded somehow join forces with them.

Yeah, he's great. I love his articles. The only problem is that the Mel Bay site is kind of a pain in the butt to navigate. Finding his articles in a meaningfully organized fashion is like finding a needle in a haystack.

Gunter was a huge asset in creating the custom harmonica scene.
Dick Sjoeberg studied with Gunter and then I studied with Dick. He is number one on my list of harp-related people I want to meet. The stories I've been told are wonderful, and I have found all of the advice passed down through me to be spot on, measurable, and very valuable.
How great to see that confirmed by Kinya! ---------- Mike VHT Special 6 Mods Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas - When it needs to come from the soul...

Great article - Kinya, wherever you are - thank you!
FYI - Kinya love to play in the Butterfield style and even does a Butterfield tribute show. Needless to say he plays through a Shure 545. He was an early beta tester of the Bulletizer product and gave me helpful suggestions in its development. ---------- /Greg
