Hi,

Maybe I'm far behind you with this, but I discovered hundreds and hundreds good backing tracks on YT, notably from a guy "Mr Bluestrings" (but lot of others).
There are jazz, blues, rock, funk music back tracks.
In YT in the search space you type "Blues backing tracks" and you'll see how incredible it is.
Here is one, almost picked up at random:

Has YouTube done something to prevent you from converting the videos to mp3?
I can't get any of the online converters to work anymore. Keep getting error message "Failed to get video infos from YouTube."

There are some stuff on YouTube, true. That particular song is by Lawrence Fritts and available from a lot of places on the net. I have gotten it from a p2p that acknowledge Mr Fritts the song. Lawrence Fritts made about 80 or so tracks that he gave away for "free" use on the net. As a consequence a lot of douche bags have tried to sell them or in other ways tried to monetize them or just taken credits for them. Aaanyyyywho there are some other threads that brings how to get the tracks to your computer but I'm on my phone so I won't link them. Just get a p2p bit client and google Fritts .torrent.

... So unless the guy who put this up, Finite Blues is, indeed, Lawrence Fritts or have credited Fritts, then he's a douche bag in my book.

@Bluzlvr: I record the sound using Audacity set to "stereo mix" and next convert from wave to mp3.
You simply have to open the YT window and Audacity window and work on both (reduced) at the same time.
I believe there are softwares allowing to record directly into mp3.

Hats off to Mr Fritts, thats a great backing track and long enough to construct a proper song, I'm gonna work on that one and see what comes out.
Thanks for the heads up.

Go to download.com and search for FreeYoutubeDownloader. This lets you either download the video file to your computer, or only the audio in mp3 format. bluzlvr, if YouTube was going to put the kabbosh on this program and what it does, they would've done it a LONG time ago.

Hi guys I have been trying to download all of Mr Fritts Backing Tracks but with no luck, every time I try to use a link to them I get a conection failure page instead.
Has these tracks been removed or protected in some way? does anyone have an up to date link I can use? this is very frustrating coz I really want to check out the whole selection.
Any suggestions?

Geordie, he has a channel on youtube called Finiteblues
(seen that on a guitar forum).
Keep us informed if it's going better for you.
Also remember there are plenty of others on YT.
