Hi guys, I got an Audix Fireball V Mic for Chistmas and it is a nice Mic for vocals but lacks grit for Harp and so I am on the lookout for a new harp Mic. I tried a few Mics that Oxharp very generously lent me last year and was much taken with his Electrovoice RE10 and wondered if anyone had one of these Mics for sale?. I am also taken with the look and sound of the EV 664 and would love to have one of those in my Harp case, so again if anyone knows of one of these Mics that might be available please let me know. Cheers, Geordie.

Hypothetically, would be interested in EV 627c? I have one just lying around, AND I've been thinking of buying the Fireball. Just thinking if you'd be up for a trade...

Thanks guys, J-Sin thanks for the offer that's a nice looking and sounding Mic you mention, however I want to keep the Fireball V as a vocal mic as it does that job really well so I'm not really looking to do a swap. Oxharp has a RE10 which he has offered to sell to me and i am watching another RE10 on E-Bay, but let me know if you want to sell the 627c an how much for and I will have a think. MP Thanks for the thought please tell Mojo to get in touch if he is in the market to sell and for how much. Cheers Geordie.

Can't part with mine. EV RE-10's are going for about $125-150 on eBay, plus shipping. One of them just went cheap for under $100 a few days ago, but that is a rare exception. A good alternative is an EV 631B. They go for less, have very similar specifications, and sound great! The 627C would certainly be an upgrade from your Audix. No brainer there. But I would just make the investment in the RE-10. It will be a long time before you are swayed to another mic, and if you don't like it and want to get rid of it, they hold their value very well.
