If I had a bigger desk I'd do it. I'm actually 2/3 of the way through a project building a shelf under my window with a pull out drawer for my keyboard. It's not right by my computer, but it's not far. I don't play particularly well, but it's great for figuring stuff out. I could have gone with a much simpler shelf design, but keyboards are so useful in music theory I really felt I needed a place to have one set up.
