As many of you know I received the last set of harps that Chris "Buddha" Michalek shipped out a couple of days before his tragic passing.

These harps have been very sweet indeed.

The 5 draw on my "A" harp went out during a gig last week. No doubt this is the most used harp. It went almost 1/2 step flat. Sounds almost like the pitch of 5 blow. I'm sure a new reed is in order.

Anyway, I thought one of you top customizers might be interested in seeing what Chris was doing to his harps. I need the reed and a basic maintenance inspection.

I'm hoping for fairly quick turn-around.

I was under the impression these were not played :-)

No, seriously. It's collectible.

If it's the 5 hole inhale, perhaps you are playing with too much force?

Iceman..I have heard that about 5 draw but these harps are set for overbending. Too much force and the notes won't sound.

I have several stock GMs that I have been playing daily for over 3 years and no problems. One of those things I guess.

If you're sure that it is really set up for overbends, I could fix that.

i'll pass. try joe or mike or jim or adam hamil or...there are a lot of guys who can do this right here on MBH.

i'm sure they can mimic what Buddha did. i'll bet the reeds are chamfered.

As I said - I'll do it only if the harmonica really has OB setup.

I only make videos about what's worth showing.
That would be the fourth budda harp I've had disassembled and examined.
