I've been considering using a super-clean acoustic amp, like the Fishman Artist, for harp, and wondered what the experts might have to say about it. My thinking is to front one channel with a Harp Commander IV and run a Harp Attack, Harp Delay, AFB+, and Carl Martin Headroom (studio-grade spring reverb) in the effects loop, or maybe just drop an RP1000in front of it.The second channel would be dedicated to my resonator. I'm looking at the Fishman for several reasons; price ($500), low-Z high-Z inputs and output, notch filters, polarity switches, independent channels, phantom power, price...

Of course I would buy a pair of AER Compact 60's if money were no object, Thoughts on this concept or this particular amp appreciated.

Thanks.

When it comes to clean solid states, I've always liked the Fender Acoustasonics. My father-in-law has a 60, and I've used it on occaision when I've needed a multi-channel amp. The 150 has pretty much everything the Fishman has except phantom power, costs 50 bucks less, and gives you a twin speaker rig with 30 more watts behind it. Like I said, I've always liked the series. But the Fishman looks pretty solid too.

Done't waste your time on an "Acoustasonic amp." I was loaned one to use and could never get the clean sound I was looking for.I was dissipointed because the amp had so much to offer. 50 watts, 2 channels you could use at the same time, effects, line out, main and monitor volume controls, notch filter. I wound up buying a Bose compact. They are offering a 10% discount until the end of the month, got mine at American musical supply. Pure clean tones with 2 inputs and a direct out. Only negative for me is the mic connections are not the universal kind "omniplugs?"1/4or XLR. and there is no fanthom power.Had several other players comment on the "studio" quality of the sound.I run a DD7 delay on my harp channel. I bought this rig for a personal monitor for on stage and a line out to the mains for my acoustic shows and an easy travel practice rig.
