Yes Mr. Payne. Although the modern definition of EP can encompass a recording between 25-30 minutes in length regardless of song number. ---------- Brandon O. Bailey Official Website of Superchucker

People donate funding for your project within a specific time frame, in this case 30 days. If the entire amount is not raised within that time, none of the money is taken or received. It is also possible to raise more than the amount originally requested. More info may be found at the following link:

I know that. I mean, I've started two projects - one for HarpSummer 2012 festival, and another for my album. No one except Tom Halchak supported me.
My question was - how do you actually RAISE money?

Jim, I don't remember seeing a link for your album. Last month I pledged a small amount to two different people at the 'get an electronic copy when it's done' level. I think you have to spam your Facebook a little (post an update once a day or so). You have to have different support levels. I'm in the $5-$10 range. After that I'm just priced out. Right now I'm waiting to see what my car repair is going to cost; I might be priced out of everything for a while. You need that mix of lot's of small donations and a few big ones. It would be interesting to see a break down of what percentage of donations are at each level on each project.
I think there needs to be some altruism, but also a little bit of pure reward (digital copies). I probably didn't click on the link for your HarpSummer fest if you posted it here if the headline looked like it had specific info only relevant to your festival because there is no way I could make it to one of your festivals, what with the ocean and no money for travel. Depending on the car repairs I'd kick in in the low range for your album. I was planning/hoping to be able to do that for Brandon soon.

The album project has expired - the campaign was live on www.indiegogo.com for 60 days a month ago.

Nacoran's explanation was very accurate. Social media spamming is a MUST. I am using facebook, twitter, harmonica forums, and my own personal website to get the word out about my project. Also, I tried to include a wide array of backer incentives to interest my backers. ---------- Brandon O. Bailey Official Website of Superchucker

One of my "every month or so" posts on my FaceBook page:
One of my favorite players, Brandon Bailey needs help to finance the production of his new CD. This college kid is not only a super harper, but a good kid.
Break out the credit card and send him a buck.
