First and foremost, many thanks to Dennis M for sending this to me.
this is a 2 knob delay, it has a pot for mix and a pot for repeat. i fooled with it for a little while last eve through my silvertone 1482. noticeable fattening of tone and a slap effect as well. i also tried it briefly in the bassman and noticed a very big difference in the whole personality of tone from that.
i'm curious if anybody uses one of these a lot and has any pointers for using one out live. i have a few gigs at the end of the month and at least one rehearsal between now and then. should be some time to dial it in but if there are definite no no's or definite yes yeses, i'd love to hear them.
muchas gracias in advance guys and gals!!

I just bought one as well. I just follow the instructions here http://bluesharpamps.blogspot.co.uk/2008/08/review-danelectro-fab-echo-pedal.html

Adjust the repeats control, I have mine a tad above minimum. Then dial in the mix, I set mine half way. Good to go!

It is not as complex as many other units, but for that basic fatter slap back sound it does a great job.

The slap back tone on a good delay pedal is a lovely thing. I think I disagree that the Fab Echo pedal is a good deal for being so cheap. The difference in tone IMHO is worth the extra money.

But the FAB Echo pedal is fun. I bought one and kind of liked it, however I really prefer a better slap back. This pedal is great for your first delay pedal. You'll be more experienced when the time comes to move up to a better delay. Nothing is more helpful when buying gear than your own personal experience with similar products.

Each to their own. My argument was that if all you want is a very simple slap back delay, this does a good job. Many of the pedals on the market use similar chipsets, the budget factor is the case and other components. I have tried a pedal that is very popular on here, it also cost 6x the price of the Danelectro, but for me it didn't work. Higher cost does not always equal better sound IMHO

The other factor is that this is a one trick pony. It does one thing well but nothing else, unless you mod it.

I suppose all I am saying is that don't simply dismiss it because of the price, it may work....or it may not. Try before you buy.

i'll be trying Libertad's setting as a starting point. the other night i had it all over the place just checking it out. for real perspective though it will take a little time in action.
i appreciate what all of you have had to say and your experiences.
