Every week I teach a group harp class for absolute beginners at a Hotel resort. I never see anyone again, it is a one time thing, like horseback riding.

When I cannot make it, I send a substitute.

This time the sub taught Hilary Swank.

AAARRRGGGHHH!

Anyone else have a good near miss story?

lol! I was on an airplane with Viki Lawrence once. I'm pretty sure I saw former A's great Dave Stewart in an airport. My grandmother had a cottage right next to the cottage of Rod Serling (our cats beat up his dog). That's about it for accidental celebrity encounters for me.

Had lunch with Clapton last week, he was asking about you Michael. On a serious note, a good buddy was staying with his sister in Chicago some years back. They had planned to catch Muddy Waters at a small club. She was to meet him there after a school board meeting. Joe went and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Second set came and no sis, so he stayed a little longer but then finally decided just to head home. In the morning his sister grilled him about leaving. "Joe, you missed it!" Joe replied that no, he stayed for a set and a half. But no, sis did finally make it and ended up sitting with Mick Jagger and a few other Stones, who later joined Muddy on stage. Seems the Stones played McCormicks place that evening and dropped in to see Muddy. Fortunately Joe is a bigger Muddy Waters fan than a Stones fan.
