Good stuff!

You mention the Seydels with the reeds switched around that are really hard to choke. I'd imagine that would make it really tough to overblow. How would it effect other bends though? Or was the choke resistance from the gap at the end? Is that the idea of tip scooping and chamfering?

Overblow! Was ist das? Absolutely!!! Remember at the time of making few people in The West knew what it was, let alone the East Bloc, so they werent thinking about that. I'll try to get some pics of those draw reeds.
You gotta play it hard, but the draw reeds won't choke.
