A guitarist friend of mine has been listening to some YouTube videos of Harpgears being played. He asked me if I'd ever heard a guitar being played through one of them. I had to admit that I had not. Has anyone here ever tried it? What can I tell him?

I don't know either, but I'd be surprised if it was ideal.

I wouldn't be that surprised if it worked well with guitar. I have amps I have built using the 5f1 circuit (Which i believe the Harpgear 2 uses) and have been told by guitarist who have played through them that they liked what they heard. It all depends on the style of music and how it is played. Like with all amps, it would be a very subjective preference.
