Just saw on Youtube that he has a total of 4.6 million views. That's from the Youtube auto-generated Jason Ricci channel... so it counts videos that other people have posted of Jason playing, etc.
If you got a penny for each view, you'd have $46,000. To bad it doesn't work that way.
He has four videos that total 1 million views when you add them together. Eight videos with more than 100,000 views.

I don't have an auto-generated channel, lol, but according to the elkriverharmonicas channel, I've got a little less than a half million views, according to Youtube. Apparently, view counts from the videos I deleted last year count toward that. I was kind of proud of that number, until I see Jason strut in with 4.6 million, lol.

You can put ads on your youtube videos once you get allot of views.
I have no idea what kind of revenue you can make with that tough.

Youtube partners will make in the range of $2.5 to $5 per 1000 video views The most popular stars will earn $5 per 1000 views. This can really add up if you have 1 million views per video. Nigahiga for example, will earn $5000 per video they put up. This range can vary depending on number of advertising clicks.
Channel views: A youtube partner will make $.01 per channel view. If a channel has 1,000,000 channel views, the person will make $10,000.

I used to be an Ehow writer, before Demand Media bought it out and then bought out us writers. I was pretty excited about it when I started, so I spent about a two days writing Ehow articles. Then, I watched the money not roll in and said "to hell with this" and quit writing. But every two months for several years, I got a check for $17. Then when demand media bought them out, I got a check for almost $500 if I would sign away the rights to the stories. Took the money and ran.
That kind of thing is steady money. The one where my dad and shot the BLuesband with the buffalo rifle, it's almost at 50,000 views now (I think another 30 will do it) got picked for that when it hit 10k views or something, but they axed that because I had used some music from the 1920s. so now, all the background music is played by me on the new vids. I think you can just sign up for ads now. I might do that sometime for some of them.
