With good intentions my wife bought me this for my 31'st birthday, I'm not big on the sound of crystal mics to begin with and never had the pleasure of playing on a vintage one, but I definitely did not like the hohner jt20, it sounded thin and almost like a toy, it was cheap 80$ but for that you can almost get a 58 57 or bullet.

I liked my JT30RH until the element died on me. It sounded good through my solid state amp. I've got a vintage Turner ceramic to replace it whenever I finally get around to it.
